*.* Brady Marks colla*b*orates to create and explore novel cultu*r*al hypotheses. Briefly she m*a*kes things which do things. She hol*d*s an M.Sc in Interactive Art from Simon Fraser Universit*y*, where she often teaches Sonic and Visual Arts. From an early age she learnt to swim with *m*achines this is now moving to an *a*ffective relationship to her body-self. Is there mo*r*e? Still she wor*k*s largely with light and sound in installation, and when it is all done she likes to *s*it around and chew the fat of life *.*
The theme for Signal & Noise 2008 is MEDIA INTERCOURSE. We invited artists to share their precious media fluids.• Cords, Connectors and Couplings (spawned, produced, manufactured. Erotic, sensual pornographic and hot) • Recording and Reproduction (pasts, futures and the imagined adaptation, mutation, filtration) • Avatars Anonymous (guilty pleasures, contradictions paradoxes, hypocrisies and addictions) • Capitalism, Consumption and Control (discord, discourse, discharge. Information-juicy/market-breeding).
