Laura Lee Coles
Laura Lee brings many years of experience in special event planning, as well as production management for both stage and festival formats.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, her work has been commissioned, contracted and exhibited internationally. Currently, she is preparing for solo exhibitions in the United States — MOTILE in September 2009, in Seattle and Apparently In View – Blurred Realties II at the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center in March 2010.
She is a co-founder and director of the Interdisciplinary Media Artist’s Association/Population of Noise. The focus of POPULATION OF NOISE is to present multi-media site specific and in-venue performance and installation based work in a form the collective refers to as Enviro-Futurism. In addition, POPULATION OF NOISE also strives to offer a networking and be a support base for artists, including researching international artist calls and submission opportunities which is posted regularly on the organization website www.poplulationofnoise.org. PON also assists members to respond to the artist calls, as well as proposal and grant writing support. The organization has just completed curatorial work of two group shows on in Canada and one in the United States.
Population of Noise Mission Statement: To provide, support and develop the artistic visions of interdisciplinary media artists so that creative, cultural, educational, environmental and spiritual exchanges can occur between diverse and under represented communities in an effort to utilize their talents, backgrounds, and expertise to present artistic, environmental or community based projects at home and abroad.
