I’m a musician and sound enthusiast who was first lured by VIVO with the promise of all-ages shows, and later found myself volunteering there. Recently, I’ve found myself drawn into the local art community, which perhaps due to the way that Vancouver works, is quite alive with provocative ideas and concepts. My main reason for volunteering at VIVO is because I want to do whatever I can to further the creation of art in Vancouver. I sit at home and make music, noise, drones, then I bring it to a place to play. I strongly believe that when combined, music, performance, and sound can convey a brilliant display of insight into the artist’s opinion.
